Viasystems Group, Inc., a technology leader in PCBs and Electro-Mechanical (E-M) Solutions, today announced it has been recognized as an honoree in the 2009 Total Cost of Ownership (TCOO) Supplier Award program by Celestica, a global leader in the delivery of end-to-end product life cycle solutions. Celestica's award program recognizes suppliers that support Celestica's TCOO sourcing strategy to provide its customers with the best possible supply chain solution for their products. Viasystems provides both PCBs and E-M Solutions to Celestica.
"Viasystems is proud to be recognized by Celestica," said David M. Sindelar, Chief Executive Officer of Viasystems. "Our capabilities are valued by more than 800 OEM and CEM customers because we support the entire product life cycle with world-class engineering support, advanced technology products, speed-to-market for our customers, seamless transitions to volume production and low-cost region manufacturing. We have enjoyed a strong relationship with Celestica for years and have been recognized as a valued supplier to Celestica several times."
This marks the fourth year of Celestica's TCOO Supplier Award program, which evaluates and recognizes the top performers in Celestica's global network of over 3,000 suppliers. Celestica's TCOO system is focused on evaluating supplier performance by measuring the total cost to produce, deliver and support products and services beyond the supplier invoice price. As such, it considers the following supplier attributes: Quality, delivery, technology, service, pricing and flexibility.
"Congratulations to Viasystems for being recognized as an honoree in Celestica's 2009 TCOO Supplier Award program," said Harvinder Sembhi, Chief Procurement Officer of Celestica. "Viasystems made a strong contribution in 2009 to our supply chain strategy and I thank them for their support and commitment to helping us enable our customers' success."
